Mikki Turner MBACP

I am a Person-Centered Integrative Therapist driven by my interest in the diverse human experience of ‘life’. Mindfulness Based Practice informs my therapeutic work and plays an important role on a personal level.

My journey to becoming a counsellor began in my role as a Listening Volunteer with the Samaritans in 2011, followed by my role as a Bereavement Support Volunteer in 2014.  On gaining my Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling in 2016, I began work as a qualified counsellor with a local mental health and wellbeing organisation and a charity in Northampton providing autism-specialist counselling.

I have personal experience of Aspergers/High Functioning Autism and importantly, some understanding on how the counselling process might be experienced quite differently to individuals outside the autistic spectrum.

I work with individuals 18 and over who might be experiencing problems including the following:-

Depression
Low self-esteem
Stress
Bereavement and loss
Aspergers/High Functioning Autism (adults) and individuals living with/supporting someone on the autistic spectrum
Personality Disorders
Relationship problems
Problems in the workplace
Feelings of discontentment with life

Our initial meeting will provide a safe space in which to explore what brings you to counselling.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and follow and adhere to their Ethical Framework.

Please call the Phoenix Counselling Practice on 01449 675974 for further information on counselling or to make an appointment.
